Terms of Service
PikScan is built for sales teams that turn every trade show contact into measurable opportunity. These terms govern your use of the application and pikscan.com website within a clear, professional framework aligned with industry standards.
1. Purpose and acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the PikScan mobile application (iOS and Android), the pikscan.com website, and all related services (the "Service"), published by PikScan.
By downloading, installing, or using PikScan, you acknowledge that you have read and accept these Terms without reservation. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.
2. Service description
PikScan is a professional solution for capturing and qualifying contacts at events: OCR business card scanning, trade show QR badge reading, LinkedIn import, sales pipeline, calendar, voice notes, geo-tagged visits, and export to major CRMs (Salesforce, HubSpot, Odoo, Pipedrive, and more).
The Service is intended for professional B2B use, 100% offline: no data is collected or transmitted to PikScan during use. PikScan strives to deliver a reliable, high-performance experience suited to field constraints (limited connectivity, high contact volumes).
3. License
Subject to compliance with these Terms and your plan, PikScan grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service.
- Free plan: access to essential scanning and organization features, with limits described in the app.
- Pro plan: unlocks all advanced capabilities (multi-CRM export, pipeline, calendar, event ROI dashboard, follow-up templates, etc.).
You may not decompile, copy, resell, rent, or exploit the Service for unauthorized purposes, including to develop a competing product.
4. Subscriptions, trial, and billing
Pro subscriptions are offered on monthly or annual terms. They are billed and managed exclusively through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play, depending on your platform.
- Free trial: a 7-day Pro trial may be offered to eligible new users. After the trial, the subscription renews automatically unless cancelled beforehand via your store account.
- Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at then-current rates.
- Cancellation: you may cancel at any time from your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; stores generally do not provide pro-rata refunds.
- Restore: when changing devices, use "Restore purchases" in the app Settings.
Prices shown in the app may vary by currency, region, and promotions. PikScan does not control billing operated by Apple or Google.
5. Personal data — zero collection by PikScan
PikScan collects no data, neither at installation nor during app use. No information is sent to our servers: we operate no user database and no application cloud.
All your contacts, scans, notes, events, and exports are stored exclusively on your device, offline. PikScan does not access, receive, or keep any copy of them.
When scanning business cards or badges from third parties, you are the sole data controller under GDPR. You agree to:
- inform data subjects about collection of their contact details when required by law;
- use this data for legitimate professional purposes;
- honor their rights (access, rectification, deletion) via PikScan or your CRM.

6. Intellectual property
PikScan®, the pikscan.com domain, logo, interface, text, graphics, algorithms, and all Service components are the exclusive property of PikScan or its licensors, protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
Data you create (contacts, notes, events) remains your property. PikScan claims no rights over content you generate through the application.
7. Availability and limitation of liability
PikScan is provided "as is." We use reasonable efforts to ensure Service quality, without guaranteeing uninterrupted availability or 100% perfect OCR recognition.
Automatic text recognition (OCR) and QR reading may produce errors depending on print quality, lighting, or language. You must verify and correct extracted data before any commercial use or CRM export.
To the extent permitted by law, PikScan shall not be liable for indirect losses, lost profits, data loss due to device mishandling, or use of exported contacts outside the Service.
8. Suspension and termination
We reserve the right to suspend or limit access in case of material breach of these Terms, fraudulent use, or attempts to circumvent licensing mechanisms.
You may stop using PikScan at any time by uninstalling the app and deleting your data via Settings → My data.
9. Changes to Terms
PikScan may update these Terms to reflect Service evolution, legal requirements, or store conditions. The last updated date appears at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify you through appropriate means (in-app notification or website notice).
10. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, and failing amicable resolution, competent courts shall have jurisdiction in accordance with applicable rules.
